Position Overview

As a Full-Stack Software Engineering Intern, you will have the unique opportunity to engage in the development of both front-end and back-end components of our web applications, as well as working on serverless cloud solutions. This role is ideal for those who are passionate about software architecture, cloud systems design and implementation, and keen to gain hands-on experience in full-stack development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web and mobile applications using Node.js, React, Express, Next.js, MongoDB, and other modern technologies
  • Work with modern cloud providers like AWS and GCP to implement and maintain cloud services, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented, and efficient code
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share best practices
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving bugs and performance issues

Minimum Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related field
  • Strong foundational knowledge in programming with experience in JavaScript and familiarity with Node.js and React
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML and CSS
  • Experience working with version control systems like git

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating full-stack web applications in Next.js
  • Understanding of database technologies such as MongoDB, Postgres, SQL, etc.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and frameworks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

This position is open for full-time during Spring 2024. Our team is primarily remote, however there may be some option for hybrid work in Cambridge.
